USA Today Sports is a section of the USA Today website, which was launched back in 1995 and in 2012, it went through a visual overhaul to improve it's website and make it more appealing to it's viewers. USA Today website is owned by the Gannett Company. The USA Today newspaper is one of the most famous websites in the USA.

The positives about this website are that it offers everything that the average American sports fan wants to know. NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, NASCAR, Golf, NCAA to name some of the sports that they cover. The homepage is simple but effective, though it might not be as visually appearling compared to the other bigger sports websites such as ESPN or SI, it does have enough daily content to satisfy sports fans.

For each of the major sports, they show in-depth stats, standings, scores and also you can select a team and read news only about that team. The team graphs that they show and statistics look pretty cool and are easy on the eye. They’re not just filled with numbers but also with well-made graphs. What surprised me most is that they offer some pretty detailed stats for every major US sport. I would expect something like this from ESPN for example or Bleacher Report, not from USA Today. Which means that they put a lot of effort into maintaining this website and updating it regularly with the latest news and the latest updates. Also, the home section of "Headlines" is a nice touch as it keeps up the most current or most important sports news under one section.

On the negative side, as mentioned earlier, visually the website lacks the punch to impress it's viewers, rather settling for a simpler look. Though it's very user friendly and easy to manevuer, appealing to the younger generation will be a tough sell while lacking visual graphics that's more common with the bigger competitor sports sites. Another small issue I had were the side arrows that appear on both the left and right pages. Clicking on the arrows brings it's viewers to a different section of the websites, which is confusing and not useful.

In conclusion, USA Today Sports is a decent website but falls short on becoming a great sports website. Is there room for improvement? Yes, I think the website could do better and appeal to a larger crowd, but for now it remains to be seen if they're willing to improve on things.
