At the moment Curry’s website is not yet available and for that reason, we will discuss only his career. Known as one of the best shooters of all time, if not the best of all time, Stephen Curry has led his team to three championships in four years. His career has been filled with accomplishments and he is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. Drafted with the 7th pick in the 2009 draft by the Golden State Warriors, it was expected that he would become a great role player that can shoot the lights out, but no one expected from him to become an MVP caliber player. When you look back at the 2009 draft, it is mind-blowing to think how players like Hasheem Thabeet, Tyreke Evans, Ricky Rubio, and Johnny Flynn were picked before him.

Stephen Curry is the son of Dell Curry, a former NBA player, that was a member of Cleveland Cavaliers, Charlotte Hornets, and Toronto Raptors among other teams. While growing up he showed early signs of his talent and many of his coaches praised him as a player, saying that he has a very bright future ahead of him. When he declared for the draft, and was picked by the Warriors, and had a phenomenal rookie season, finishing only after Tyreke Evans for the Rookie of the Year Award.

The first few seasons were marked by constant improvements that Steph made as a player, and his ability to shoot behind the three-point line, quickly made him a fan-favorite. Things changed forever for Steph during the 2014-15 season, where he would finally take the throne and lead his team to an NBA championship, defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Finals. During this season, he won the MVP award, while he was averaging 23.8 points per game, 7.7 assists, and 2 steals per game. The next season was even better for him, at least until the NBA Finals. Curry managed to win the MVP award unanimously and he helped the Golden State Warriors win 73 games in the regular season, thus ending the Chicago Bulls’ legendary season, where they had 72 wins. Curry’s excellence would show in the playoffs, where despite being down three games to one against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals, he helped his team win the next three games and reach the NBA Finals for the 2nd time in a row. In the Finals, they faced the Cavaliers for the 2nd time in a row and Curry played some fantastic basketball to give his team a lead of three games to one. However, Cavaliers managed to make a miracle run and won the next three games to win their first NBA championship.

Everyone was surprised when Kevin Durant decided to sign with the Warriors the next season, and this meant that Curry didn’t have to carry the burden of the team almost alone, as he had a bonafide scorer and a player that could carry the squad alone if needed. This proved to be a great signing since Curry and Durant have forged a great partnership and have won two championships in a row.
