I'm interested to know what are the best sports websites, Mr. Sports Geek. Any help?
The following lists in this category are the best sports websites in the US. They all pretty much cover all 4 major sports; Basketball, Football, Baseball, and Hockey. As well as providing your favorite teams score and standings, all of the sites in this category provide in-depth stories, hd quality video content(highlights, interviews, etc.), live reports, player statistics, blogs, and many more!
Besides offering all 4 major US sports, most of the websites also provide sports reports for every sporting event imaginable, yes, even WWE news are reported too! It might not be a sport, but ESPN decided to promote it anyways. Speaking of...ESPN, if you didn't already know, is basically the benchmark for all sports websites and they pretty much are the top of the food chain when it comes to sports on the internet. I will cover ESPN more later.
So if these are the top sports sites, which one is the best?
That's an easy question to ask and without hesitation, I would have to say ESPN is the best of all sports websites. They are the originator and have been around for many years, while providing top notch live sporting events, live reports, sports news from the US and worldwide, shows, documentaries, and are known to have great writers. Have I said enough? Well, their slogan also is "The worldwide leader in sports" and that is something the majority will agree on.
Besides ESPN, there are also many great sports websites offering the same content. Websites such as Sports Illustrated & Fox Sports have been around for many years and new up and comers like Bleacher Report and SB Nation provide a new, fresh approach but with equally great content. As a sports fan, the options we have now are endless, and I couldn't ask for more.
Am I able to stream live sporting events through these websites?
Yes, you can! ESPN offers live stream games for a small subscription fee. ESPN+ streams thousands of live games from soccer, boxing, golf and other sports. They also offer baseball and hockey packages for more money. Along with live sporting events, you will also have access to their library of original programming from series to films. Sky Sports also offers a similar platform to streaming services.
So why should I pay for streaming services when I can just stream it for free?
You think you're a smart little fella don't you? Well to answer your question, I will always be in support for paid streams such as ESPN+ for as long as I have access to HD content and live events that stream properly and have zero buffer issues. Look you get what you pay for and sometimes I don't mind paying a little if I know I'm getting a great product. Don't be cheap!
