Rich in sports history and tradition, ESPN first launched in 1979 and has since dominated it's field of competition. Since it's inception, ESPN has been grown into a large network, easily becoming one of the most sought after cable tv channel in history, amassing over 90 million subscribers in the US alone.

Known as the worldwide leader in sports, ESPN is your best source for all sports. They have it all; All major US Sports, Collegiate Sports, Womens Sports, Little League Baseball, International Soccer, and yes even WWE! You want it, they cover it! There is no shortage of sports event or content they provide.

Besides broadcasting live sports events, ESPN hosts many original programming shows such as Around The Horn, E:60, Baseball Tonight, First Take, and it's most widely popular show Sportscenter. On top of it's TV programming, ESPN also has a host of great TV personalities that keeps it's many viewers engaged and entertained.

ESPN is easily my favorite sports channel dating back to when I was a kid. Highly recommended for all Sports fans!

Disney took over ESPN in 1996 as part of it's acquisition of ABC. The cost? A cool $19 billion.

Sportscenter was the very first program aired on ESPN.
