Sporting News is a website owned by Perform Group and it was launched in 2000. The cool thing about Sporting News is that it used to be a sports magazine that was first published in 1886 and primarily covered baseball, while in the process earning the nickname "The Bible of Baseball". From 1886 to 2008 it was a weekly magazine and then for the next 3 years, it came every fourteen days. In the last year of its existence as a magazine, it came out only once a month.
Sporting News has some great options. The first thing that caught my attention is that it offers US, Canada, Germany, Australia, and Japan edition. That means that it is multi-lingual and also deals with sports that are famous in other countries and not just in the US. It has plenty of variety, from NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB to soccer, boxing, NCAA etc. The website offers everything that a fan might want to know such opinions, analysis, news, scores and watch plenty of videos about your favorite teams or your favorite athletes. Diehard basketball fans will enjoy the FIBA section, where you have everything that you need to know about the national teams around the globe(an option most sports websites don't offer). I also like the "More Sports News" on the front page, as the continuous scroll down for additional sports news is a nice touch. Despite it's simple look, Sporting News is very user friendly as it's easy to maneuver. The links and sports reports are all well positioned. The website also has it's own writers and they offer a lot of great reports and analysis.
