About the initiative
Description of the initiative
The concept behind this idea is to significantly decrease the costs of translations while significantly improving the turnaround time of translations. A proven Large Language Model engine, used already by the Translation Bureau, would be used to use internal Machine Learning capabilities to learn the lexicon of DFO. The initiative could be considered for on-prem or in-cloud solutions. The data and information would be geo-fenced to within Canada. The option to procure the solution (in either format) is available on a Government of Canada standing offer through an S
Problem statement
The cost to translate materials, particularly long, scientific documents is too high and the turnaround time for a translation from the Bureau is often too long and sometimes the quality of the translated product contains too many mistakes.
