Description of the initiative

triage of email notifications to auto-distribute to an appropriate email inbox, based on the location of the information received

Problem statement

currently, C&P are not set up for 24/7 coverage for incoming complaints, so we are exploring how to most efficiently respond to fish habitat damage/pollution related complaints coming in through the environmental emergencies email system (national triage process led by ECCC).

Expected outcome if AI is selected

This would allow the necessary information to reach the appropriate officers' inbox immediately making response time quicker, which means less environmental risk to fish and fish habitat, as well as species at risk and critical habitat.

Risks

the only risk I can think of is the email gets sent to the wrong inbox by mistake, but this would be a low risk issue as all C&P inboxes would have the same protections, and could forward the email as necessary.
